The Reasons that Induced Dr. S to Write a Poem called "The Ladies Dressing Room"

Lady Montague composes this work to oppose Jonathan Swift's "The Ladies Dressing Room." She expresses that Swift encountered one situation where he had a bad expierence on his behalf and due to this shunned the lady he was involved with. Lady Montagu shows her feminist side by confronting Swift via his own figuerative sword; writing. It entices me that Swift would go to such great lengths to shame a women when the trouble was his own doing. I applaud Lady Montagu for opposing Swift, and defending women every where in her time.
