Psalm 150

Mary Sidney Herbert in Psalm 150 demonstrates the high need and importance of giving all your praise to God. Clearly a religious figure, she illustrates the joys and outcome of rejoicing. I found irony in her exuberance towards praising her God for all he’s done when she suffered depression tremendously by losing several family members to illness. By her writing in general you can tell she was well educated even without the help of reading her biography. This is one of her shorter poems so it does not take much to comprehend, but it clearly demonstrates her character in certain aspects.
